1000 inspirational quotes

Making gifts doesn't need to be costly. Here is a simple gift you could give your friend to inspire him/her everyday.

PROJECT: 1000 inspirational quotes

OCCASION: Birthday, Friendship Day, Christmas, New Year, Thank you gift

GIFT FOR: Friend/ Bestfriend

TIME TO PREPARE:  12-24 hours. Depends on how fast you could write and consider the fact that you also need to rest because writing and cutting is a bit exhausting. I recommend dividing the project and setting an hour or two each day for a week to finish the entire gift.

WHAT YOU NEED:
  • BondPaper/colored papers 30-50pcs
  • Scissors
  • Pen (plain black or colored)
  • Internet connection (to search for quotes)
  • Your phone/gadget
  • Box with ribbon - I bought mine at Papemelroti for Php49
  • (Optional) A piece of lined paper like yellow pad
TOTAL COST: around Php80-100

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Prepare the things you need. As well as your hands because writing quotes is really tiring. You have the option to print them but I think the main essence of this letter is on the effort of writing everything down as if you are telling them directly these inspirational messages.
  2. Using your phone, tablet or computer, search the internet for inspirational quotes, sayings or verses. You could visit sites and view quotes filtered per theme (e.g. love, Friends, God, Education) or search from google images.
  3. Write down whatever quote you like on the bond paper. You may place a piece of lined paper below your bondpaper to serve as a guide for proper spacing between quotes or to make sure your handwriting remains straight. Here is a pdf file of the first 300 quotes I wrote. WARNING: this step requires lots of time, patience and energy. Rest if you must. TIP: keep track of your progress by writing on a scratch paper the tally of the number of quotes you've written.
  4. Cut each quote and roll them. TIP: I find it easier to write everything first and start cutting once you feel tired of writing down the quotes and then start rolling when you feel tired again of cutting each piece. (Nakakaumay sya gawin, promise). I find it easier to do things in bulk rather than doing those 3 steps (write-cut-roll) after finishing each quote.
  5. Count everything and put them on your box. Add ribbon.
  6. You may put designs and a simple letter for the recepient of your gift.
